Fanzinko de Mayo

A countercultural content program reviving Posada's radical prints and fanzine culture's unapologetic chaos.

During the Cinco de Mayo season, authentic cultural identity is often drowned out by generic commercial promos and stereotypes. For Espolòn—a brand whose visual identity pays tribute to Mexico’s radical printmaking history—this presented the perfect opportunity to cut through the noise with bold authenticity.

The solution to this challenge was Fanzinko de Mayo, a countercultural content program that revives the unapologetic chaos of zine culture inspired by José Guadalupe Posada. By empowering Latine creators to roast the holiday's clichés through satirical print art, we transformed a routine marketing window into an act of genuine cultural rebellion.
